In Perth with its summer and winter storms it is not uncommon to experience intermittent power outages that may affect your security system in negative ways.
During a power outage, your alarm relies on battery power to maintain its operation however when the battery is old, it may not have sufficient power to run your alarm properly. Low battery power will cause your keypad to emit a warning beep which will become more frequent until the battery is replaced. The expected life-time of an alarm battery is only about 5 years and we recommend servicing your system and replacing the battery every 4 to 5 years to ensure maximum reliability and sustained operation.
If you are unsure of when your last alarm battery was changed, or think it may be due, be sure to contact us to arrange a service.
